Introduction- The movie in its opening sequence clearly gives an indication that it is going to have a bittersweet tangy taste in its story. The introduction to the lead actors of the film clearly displays that they are chalk and cheese. Jaya, played by Parvathy is serene, calm and a solved woman. Yogi, portrayed by Irrfan Khan is a loud fellow who talks loudly and dresses in blinding colors which packs many laughs in the flick. How and why their journey cross paths is the base of the movie.
Plot Synopsis- Two people (Jaya and Yogi) get introduced to each other through an online dating site. They are not naive people, instead both of them are mature and experienced, who have seen relationships, heartbreaks and other ups and downs of life. The peculiar traits of Irrfan Khan and the finesse with which the actor has pulled this character will command your attention. One should live in present and the changing phase of relationships is what this movie shows in a very beautiful manner through life of Yogi and Jaya.
Theme- Changing perceptions about relationships
What's Good- It is really refreshing to see a character which is far away from the cliche display of 'decorated dolls' in the form of a Bollywood heroine. Parvathy played 'Jaya' who is a real woman whom audience will connect to. She is palpable and genuine and her role is something to which viewers can easily and deeply form a nexus. The other thing which will captured audience's attention is the camera work that had shot locations in an amazing manner!
What's Bad- At places where 'Jaya' has tried to act 'cute' is unconvincing. Those scenes in the movie looks fabricated.
Book a ticket or not- Yes, the movie has enough material to occupy viewers. It is entertaining and is made for contemporary times. It is a must watch.
Conclusion- Outstanding acting performances by Irrfan and Parvathy, true and attractive story line, palpable emotions and toil of the director Tanuja Chandra has made this movie a must watch!
