Introduction- Movie is about a middle aged woman who celebrates her life without caring about people. She does not care about the mock that people show towards her or negativities. She has zest for life and tries her hands on everything possible which is highlighted by very famous dialogue from this film 'mai kar sakti hai'. The movie is all about the dreams that Sulu (lead character played by Vidya Balan) who keeps emphasizing the fact that age is just a number and has no relation with career.
Plot Synopsis- The story of the movie is about 'Sulu' played by actress Vidya Balan, who does not gives a damn about people who laugh and discourage her from trying each and every stuff she wants. She has a passion to live and enjoys everything. Despite being from a middle class meagre family, and discouraged by her two elder twin sisters for everything she does, Sulu becomes a night time Radio Jockey who exudes sensuality and shows an unknown facet of her personality. How her life changes completely after lapping up this job is what this film tells in a beautiful and true manner.
Theme- Giving voice to middle class people and wings to one's dreams (without considering the unnecessary social constraints like age etc.) is what the flick highlights.
What's Good- Vidya as Sulu is outstanding! She has done her role so well that at places she will make viewer's forget that they are watching a movie or watching someone act. Also, Manav Kaul, who portrayed 'Sulu's' husband in the movie is impressive too. He did his job so well that it appears like he has given more than 100% to his character.
What's Bad- Only pacing of the movie is the proble., If the flick has been edited little more tightly, it would have enhanced the movie to much higher level.
Book a ticket or not- Sure, this flick should not be missed!
Conclusion- A movie which tells the story in real manner and is about real people is what 'Tumhari Sulu' shows.
